Fête d'hiver - Winter celebration

Join Alliance Française for our annual winter celebration: Fête d’hiver!

The wintery fun will take place this year on December 13th, beginning at 1pm. Speaking French is not required. Join us for a warm gathering of friends, families, and fun in our building.

Join us for a family friendly event to spend time together and enjoy a comforting hot chocolate and delicous bûche de Noël from Patrick’s Bakery! We even heard that Papa Noel will be bringing presents pour les enfants sages !

Member 10$/Non member 15$ - Free for kids under 6.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

1-2:15 pm : Cantiques de Noël and sing along

Enjoy a slice a bûche and some hot chocolate while waiting for Père Noël to come! Join pianist Jim Reilly to sing and learn traditional Christmas songs like Vive le vent or Petit papa Noël !

2:30 PM - HERE COMES Père noël!

A little elf told us Père Noël would be coming to our Fête d’hiver! He might even have presents in his sack for les enfants sages!

For families who wish, we invite you to bring a small gift (already wrapped) for your child or children with their name written on it. Papa Noël will be happy to take it out from his sack of presents when the time comes! Papa Noël will be coming to the Grande Salle around 2:30pm.

3 PM - CINÉ KIDS ‘‘Marcel le père Noël et le petit livreur de pizzas’’ - In french with english subtitles

‘‘Un soir de 24 décembre, quelque part dans une banlieue grise, le jeune Abdou, petit livreur de pizzas rêveur, rencontre le véritable Père Noël, Marcel de son prénom. Le vieil homme est usé et fatigué et un bête accident de scooter compromet sa tournée. Grâce à Abdou, qui met à contribution quelques personnages peu banals de son quartier, la distribution aura bien lieu. Dans un grand foutoir, Noël est sauvé, en musique et en chansons !’’
