In response to requests from the local community, the Alliance Française chapter based in the Twin Cities began hosting cultural and educational programming in Rochester in May 2015. Since then, we have celebrated Bastille Day and held regular movie nights and conversation groups.

Prior to 2015, a number of dedicated Alliance Française members and students from the area had to make the commute all the way to Minneapolis and back for any classes or events they wanted to attend. However, the Alliance is proud to now offer classes and cultural events outside of the Twin Cities metro area. We look forward to the continued work with local institutions and organizations to bring French-language classes and cultural events to Olmsted County and the surrounding area!

If you have ideas for future Rochester events contact Sara at culture@afmsp.org.

Alliance Française is proud to provide private tutoring via Skype (learn more here!) to our Rochester community, but we would love to bring a classroom experience to Rochester’s French language learners as well! To help us make this a reality, consider taking un sondage to help us provide you with classes at the time that best suits you!
