A French dance journey from the ‘6os - today
TRANSMISSION (at the club) is a long-running night for people who dig a good, varied mix of music, showcasing the best in new wave, indie rock, British pop, funk, garage, punk, post-punk, synth-pop, electro and everything in-between each Wednesday night at the Uptown VFW. On Friday, December 8, Transmission is coming to the Alliance Française!
Put on your dancing shoes and come dance with us during this unique party full of French music and vibes! Dancers don’t need wings to fly!
With more than 20 years of experience in the Twin Cities music scene, Jake Rudh’s reputation as a versatile DJ has become his calling card. He’s known around town as a host on Minnesota Public Radio’s 89.3 The Current and founder of locally lauded Transmission dance nights.
For Voyage Voyage, Jake will play French music from the ‘60s until today, and some of his non-French favorites as well! Let’s dance before winter hits hard!

DOORS will OPEN at 7:30PM. Please note that our Fête d’hiver will still be going on when you arrive. If you arrive early, feel free to purchase a drink at the bar and/or hang out with us until the show!

Street parking on 2nd Ave, Colfax Ave, or Glenwood Ave
The parking lot of the church next door (previously The FIRM)
