Urban Meridians: The Feng Shui of Paris - An exhibit by Monica Helland
Urban Meridians proposes a fresh lens through which to experience a city, merging the principles of urban geography with the ancient wisdom of East Asian medicine. Just as traditional Chinese medicine identifies "Qi" (life energy) flowing through invisible meridian pathways within the human body, Urban Meridians suggests that a city, like Paris, possesses its own hidden network of energetic currents. Drawing on a physician's insight into connection and contrast, and an artist's pursuit of beauty and harmony, the photographer captures moments of Paris beyond the city's iconic facades, revealing images of balance and intrigue.
