Rencontre des auteurs francophones: Nos Histoires d’Amérque

With the collective book Our Stories of America, the Francophone Authors Network wanted to celebrate the richness and diversity of the ties between the Francophone world and the United States on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of American independence.

Join us for a conversation with three contributors to this project: Anna Alexis Michel, Editorial Director, Matthew Farnsworth, and Aby M'baye. Together, we will discuss the creation of the Francophone Authors Network and the collaborative process behind this collection of short stories, which explores America through human, emotional, dreamlike, humorous, tragic, everyday, and legendary perspectives. The authors will also share their inspiration, writing process, and creative goals. The event will conclude with a writing activity where participants will be invited to write and share a few lines inspired by their own vision of America.

The program will be moderated by Philippe Poirier, Executive Director of the Alliance Française of Philadelphia and Vice President of the Federation of Alliances Françaises USA.
