"The traveler sees what he sees. The tourist sees what he has come to see."
We previously welcomed Lane Rosenthal for a presentation on “Hidden Paris“: the historical gems hiding in plain sight throughout la Ville Lumière.
Now, Lane is returning to the Alliance Française after spending the autumn in Paris to share her experiences of modern Paris and her life lived regularly between two continents.
This event will feature a presentation by Lane, including live reading from her travel writing on Paris and time for a Q&A. Refreshments will be served.
About Lane Rosenthal & Paris Off Script
Lane says that the first time she saw Paris it was un coup de foudre—love at first sight. That love has grown deeper over the years. She has lived in Paris, explored it with guides, Parisian friends, and alone. A flâneuse who strolls the city with the intent of discovery, she seeks out the uncommon in the commonplace. We are fortunate to have her share those discoveries with us!
Lane’s passion for Paris prompted her to found Paris Off Script, a travel adventure for very small groups that want to experience Paris intimately and authentically.
She is your friend in Paris guiding you to fascinating places unknown to most tourists. By collaborating with local artists, writers, and artisans, Lane offers access to distinctively Parisian experiences that make her trips unique.
She says, “We are curious wanderers, enjoying the opportunity to see things with fresh eyes and forge new connections—with ideas, with other people, with ourselves.”
