Kimerly Miller
As a French major at Macalester College, Kimerly Miller spent a semester abroad in Avignon. That was over fifty years ago and she has been taking pictures in France ever since. Her photographic interests and skills have added value to a range of jobs she held in language and cultures education, refugee resettlement, and travel consulting. Her photographs from refugee camps in Thailand to postcard images of France have been used in newsletters, newspapers, and slide presentations for training and educational purposes.
Her work has been exhibited at Praxis Gallery in Minneapolis, the Cape Cod Art Center, the New York Center for Photographic Art, the Black Box Gallery (Portland, OR), and the Pennsylvania Center for Photography, among other venues.
She is currently blogging about an architectural project that took her to all 87 Minnesota counties to photograph county courthouses. The blog entries can be seen at kimerlymiller.com.
