‘‘Paysage Français: Mémoire et Fantasme” by Ilene Krug Mojsilov!

"Paysage Français: Mémoire et Fantasme" presents a selection of artwork made in France and Minneapolis in which Mojsilov conducts an exploration of interior and exterior landscapes combined with French influences.

Don’t miss this opportunity to meditate on color, pattern, shadow, and how landscapes can be personified.

Ilene Krug Mojsilov lives and works in Minneapolis. Her decades-long practice includes painting, drawing, and photography. She completed a BFA and MFA in Studio Art with a minor in Art History from the University of Minnesota. During her junior year, she attended the Lacoste School of Arts in Provence, France. After finishing her MFA, she lived in Japan for four and a half years and studied Japanese calligraphy and Ikebana. In 1984, Krug moved to Paris to live at Association Confluences in an international community of multidisciplinary artists. In 1986, she returned to Minnesota with Serbian sculptor Zoran Mojsilov. Four years later, the couple participated in ‘‘La Vie des Formes’’, a residency program in a working shipyard near Chalon-sur-Saône. In 1996, the Lacoste School of Arts hired the couple as teaching artists for six months. France has continued to be an inspiration and a haven for creativity for the artist. Her art has been exhibited in Tokyo, Paris, New York, Serbia, Seattle, Minneapolis, and Saint Paul. In addition to her studio practice, Krug Mojsilov has long worked as a teaching artist and museum educator, which continues to the present.


After the opening night. the exhibition will be open to visitors Monday through Thursday 9 am to 7 pm, and Fridays and Saturdays 9 am to 4 pm. The exhibition will be on display until June 10, 2023.
