Ciné Club — L'Histoire de Souleymane

Join us for our monthly film screening. In February, we will discover French drama film ‘‘L’Histoire de Souleymane’’  (2024)  by Boris Lojkine. It features Abou Sangare and Nina Meurisse.  The film is inspired by the real life of Abou Sangare who plays the main character in the movie.  The film will give you a glimpse into the life of an immigrant in France and the French immigration system. 

“As he pedals through the streets of Paris to deliver meals, Souleymane repeats his story. In two days, he has to go through his asylum application interview, the key to obtaining papers. But Souleymane is not ready.”

The screening will be followed by a discussion about the movie led by Abdel Hamouchi, one of our French Instructors who is passionate about cinema.
