Bonjour Japon - VISIT TO THE MIA IN ENGLISH

Learn about the the influence of Japanese art on French artists of the 19th century.  

Anna Béthune will guide us through the MIA’s special exhibit of "Hokusai | Monet" and show us other Japanese art that influenced French artists in the 19th century. This tour will be in English with some French and is a excellent opportunity for beginner French students to get some practice and expand their vocabulary

Group size is limited. Registration for the tour is required and walk-ins will not be allowed.

ABOUT OUR GUIDE ANNA BéTHUNE

Originally from Britain, Anna Béthune considers herself French after living in Paris for 20 years. Following her graduation from Sciences Po, she studied at Cambridge where she met her husband. His career brought them to Minnesota 28 years ago. Anna has been a guide at the Minneapolis Institute of Art since 2009 and she enthusiastically shares her love of art and knowledge about the collections at the museum in French and English.
