Québec & Montréal

It’s why Québec is so perfectly preserved. It’s why we’re all so fascinated with history.

We’re in a rowboat. We move forward, but we’re always looking back.

THE TRIP

Quebec City and Montreal, the two largest French-speaking cities in North America, are rich with history and bursting with vibrant communities.

Join Alliance Française for a discovery of Québec and Montréal. In 1608, Samuel de Champlain set off from Honfleur, Normandy, arriving in what is now the province of Quebec and declaring to have found New France. Four hundred years of history and a unique francophone culture await you around every corner. Sugar shacks, poutine and jazz are just some of the local specialties we will enjoy as we visit gardens, monuments, museums, markets and more.

The Québec and Montréal trip includes 10 days and 9 nights, from June 18 to 27, 2023, with four nights in Québec and five nights in Montréal. This unique experience is perfect for people with a spirit of exploration and adventure, who enjoy getting to know other travelers interested in French-speaking cultures and are able to walk a reasonable distance (90 to 120 minutes). The tour is organized by Christina Selander Bouzouina, Executive Director, Alliance Française. Land only, airfare not included.
