MEMBERSHIP & MARKETING COORDINATOR

Job Title: Membership & Marketing Coordinator

Start date: October 18, 2021

Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Exempt

Salary: $36,000 annual salary

The Membership & Marketing Coordinator leads AFMSP’s external communications including its website, social media channels, quarterly newsletter, weekly electronic newsletter and other marketing efforts, such as the semi-annual Open House events or annual French Resource Directory and is supported by other staff and interns. The Membership & Marketing Coordinator also coordinates member benefits and volunteer engagement, serves as the staff liason to the Marketing Committee, and reports to the Executive Director. This position calls for fluent speaking, reading, and writing in both French and English. The qualified candidate will have an passion for cross-cultural exchange, impeccable organizational skills and an outgoing personality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Director, other staff, and committees to promote AFMSP educational and cultural programs as well as gift shop (La Boutique AFMSP) to current contacts and new audiences. Assist the Marketing committee with recruitment of new members as needed.
  • Supervise the design, inventory and distribution of brochures, flyers, mailings and event calendars with support from other staff and interns.
  • Coordinate production of quarterly newsletter, Le Courrier, and weekly electronic newsletter, les Nouvelles de l’Alliance Française.
  • Write and distributes press releases; serve as primary contact for media and works to cultivate relationships with local press.
  • Maintain AFMSP website and manage social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Snapchat).
  • Ensure correct usage of AFMSP style guide and branding, update Communications playbook when necessary.
  • Lead marketing efforts including semi-annual Open Houses (September/March), as well as AFMSP participation in community events and festivals. • Work with other team members to coordinate AFMSP Annual Gala and Bastille Day events.
  • Build community partnerships, negotiate discounts for members and other membership benefits.
  • Grow AFMSP membership; New membership outreach efforts.
  • Work with other staff in the preparation of membership renewal reminders, new member packets, member mailings.
  • Recruit, train and supervise volunteers and interns.
  • Attend staff and committee meetings, other events as requested.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the organization in the community.

Qualifications:

  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills in English and conversational French skills strongly encouraged.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism or related field.
  • Highly organized self-starter with strong interpersonal communications skills.
  • Proven experience with InDesign, Square Space, Constant Contact or similar programs.
  • Prior experience with Alliance Française or other non-profit organizations preferred.

FRENCH INSTRUCTOR FOR CHILDREN

Job Title: French Instructor for children

Type: Part-time, 3 - 10 hours per week (must be available weekday afternoons and Saturdays); Non-exempt

Salary: Based on experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and teach Alliance Française classes using methods and materials provided.
  • Prepare and teach Alliance Française classes in schools off-site using tools provided and by creating activities.
  • Work with AF students and families; suggest resources to assist in French language learning.
  • Draft course descriptions and curriculum, answer questions on AF classes.
  • Attend staff meetings and open houses as requested.
  • Represent Alliance Française in the community.
  • Be an informational resource to members and non-members about AF educational programs, attend AF events.

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • Native French speaker or equivalent. (C1 level)
  • Educational background in Français Langue Etrangère (Licence, DAEFLE, DUFLE, Master…) and/or Elementary Education
  • Prior work experience as a French teacher.
  • Prior work experience teaching children
  • Authorized to live and work in the US.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for teaching children and for the French language.
  • Effective class management skills

Qualified candidates will be asked to complete a background check prior to hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Computer proficiency and experience with interactive whiteboard (Smart Board) preferred.
  • Prior AF experience
  • Familiarity with the CEFR language levels and DELF/DALF exams
  • Current driver’s license

Stage d’enseignement et coordination pédagogique FLE

Durée de 9 à 12 mois, à partir du 1er novembre 2021

Diplôme souhaité:

En cours de formation FLE; Master ou Diplôme Universitaire.

Enseignement du FLE à un public adulte et/ou enfant :

Cours de français général et de spécialité 

Utilisation des méthodes et des documents pédagogiques choisis par la direction de l’établissement

Travail de recherche et de préparation des cours

Tâches administratives liées à la gestion des cours: suivi des présences, information sur les activités de l’établissement, communication avec les apprenants

Participation aux réunions pédagogiques et du personnel

Participation aux formations professionnelles proposées par l’établissement

 

Travail de coordination pédagogique :

  • Le développement de cursus et de ressources pédagogiques
  • La recherche de nouvelles ressources et méthodes
  • L’organisation des sessions d’examen DELF et DELF Prim
  • La préparation de l’offre des cours
  • L’analyse de statistiques
