End of summer dance party

Dansez avec nous ! Join us as we celebrate the end of summer together with a dance party, live music, food, drinks and lots of friends!

Our Alliance Française building will be transformed into a discothèque for the evening with several spaces for dancing to several different kinds of music. Come to discover or rediscover our building and hang out with French and English speaking friends! All are welcome, so bring anyone you would like to celebrate with as well!

Food and drinks including wine and beer will be available to purchase from delicious catering services Breaking Bread!

$15 for AF members, $25 for non-members; no registration fee applied.

This event will be held in person at Alliance Française MSP. The event will be limited to 200 people. All attendees will be required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event. Please send documentation of one of these requirements to us in advance to and While we would prefer to receive these documents in advance, we will also accept proof of vaccination or a negative test upon entry to the event.

We hope that these requirements will allow us to all have a fun and successful event, while keeping ourselves and the people around us safe! Masks will be required when not eating or drinking. Surgical masks are preferred for the safety of the whole community.

If you could put a rainbow in DJ form, it would be the Douala Soul Collective! They will be spinning their vinyl’s collection of an eclectic genre of rhythms including funk, Afro, and international beats. Come and enjoy yourself!

DJ MeganO hosts a weekly radio show on Barely Brothers Radio, featuring all her favorite songs. Lots of 60s garage, soul/R&B, with an emphasis on female vocalists and foreign language tracks. She loves spinning French vinyl!

Salif Keita hosts the weekly radio show African Rhythms at station KFAI Minneapolis + Saint Paul from noon to 2pm. In his show Salif brings his listeners sounds of Africa from the continent and beyond. Come listen and dance to a mix of African, Francophone, reggae, jazz, and more!
